Lawrence Hill, Co-founder and Executive Director/Manager of Soundtrack Community Development & Talent Enhancement, Inc., brings a deep passion for music and mentorship to his work in the Englewood community. Prior to founding the organization, he owned and operated Soundtrack Recording Studio, Inc. in Chicago, where he produced and managed artists across R&B, country, and rock genres, while leading music workshops that nurtured local talent. Today, he continues this mission by organizing performing arts and business classes, teaching community music and entrepreneurship workshops, and spearheading fundraising efforts to sustain these vital programs.

His wife, Janice Hill, a Senior Paralegal at OMFM and Co-founder of the organization, is a disabled veteran who holds a graduate-level certificate in Non-Profit Management. For more than 12 years, she has faithfully served as the Secretary and Treasurer, steadfastly upholding the organization’s vision and values with unwavering dedication and integrity.

Together, Janice and Lawrence have dedicated themselves to realizing the vision of the S.O.N.I.C. Center on Chicago’s South Side, in the Englewood neighborhood where they both grew up. They have created a space where young people can unleash their creativity, build confidence, and shape a brighter future through the arts.
